A New Team Member!
I am so excited to introduce The Baby Bear (a.k.a Alice of My Epicurean Debauchery) as a contributing member to this blog.
Why?
Because we've recently embarked on another adventure and it'll be exciting to share our experiences.
You see, I'm an old gamer. I wasn't there right at the very beginning of computer gaming, but I was pretty darn close. But I sorta hung up my "gloves" about 3 or 4 years ago, because I felt like the games were getting to be more about eye-candies than substance. I simply didn't have that much free time to dedicate to getting really good at any of the games.
I sadly lost my gaming excitement ... until this past Christmas, when the Baby Bear succumbed to FFXI (Final Fantasy XI), which her sister, Uchipu, has been playing for a couple of years and have been trying to get Baby Bear to play, too. I watched her for a couple of weeks and decided to check it out after she got it for me as a Christmas gift.
The game offers a huge world to explore - one with multiple economies and lots of other things to do besides killing monsters. And we have a super-generous group of "big brothers and sisters" to help us navigate this complex world.
I've been hooked every since!
